This Saturday is the last of the ember days and it is also the last day properly speaking of Paschaltide (or Paschal time). Hence, today is the last day where every antiphon ends in the cry of joy that bears no translation: "Alleluia!" It is also the last day on which the Pentecost Sequence is sung.
Ant. The charity of God is poured forth into our hearts, alleluia, by His Spirit dwelling in us, alleluia, alleluia.
V. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and let all that is within me bless His Holy Name.
V. Glory be...
V. Come, Holy Spirit, send forth the heavenly radiance of Your light.
V. Come, Father of the poor. Come, Giver of gifts. Come, Light of the heart.
V. Greatest Comforter, sweet Guest of the soul, Sweet consolation!
V. O Rest in labor, O Temperance in heat, O Solace in tears,
V. O most blessed Light, fill the inmost heart of Your faithful.
V. Without Your spirit, there is nothing in man, nothing that is not harmful.
V. Cleanse that which is unclean; water that which is dry; heal that which is wounded.
V. Bend that which is rigid; inflame that which is frigid; rule that which has deviated.
V. Grant to Your faithful who trust in You, the sevenfold gifts.
V. Grant the merit of virtue; grant the deliverance of salvation; grant eternal joy. Amen. Alleluia.
Ant. O Lord, God of my salvation, I have cried out before Thee in the day and the night. Let my prayer enter into Thy sight, O Lord, alleluia.
Ant. The Spirit breaths where He wills, and thou hearest His voice, alleluia, alleluia; but thou knowest not whence He comes, nor where He goes, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
