5th Sunday after Paschal Sunday (EF)

This Sunday is the 5th Sunday after Paschal Sunday, and the final Sunday before the Ascension. As such, the Church gives a last great cry of joy in today's Mass in celebration of Our Lord's Resurrection.

Vocem jucunditatis annuntiate, et audiatur, alleluia; annuntiate usque ad extremum terrae: liberavit Dominus populum suum, alleluia, alleluia.
— Missale Romanum (1962); cf. Is. 48:20

Ant. Announce with a joyful voice, and let it be heard, alleluia; announce to the ends of the earth that the Lord has liberated His people, alleluia, alleluia!

V. Shout with joy to God, all the earth; sing a psalm to His name. Give glory to His praise.

V. Glory be...

Benedicite, gentes, Dominum Deum nostrum, et obaudite vocem laudis ejus: qui posuit animam meam ad vitam, et non dedit commoveri pedes meos: benedictus Dominus, qui non amovit deprecationem meam, et misericordiam suam a me, alleluia.
— Missale Romanum (1962); cf. Ps. 65:8,9,20

Ant. Bless the Lord our God, you peoples, and make the voice of His praise heard: He Who has set my soul to live and has not suffered my feet to be moved. Blessed be the Lord Who has not turned away from my prayer, nor His mercy from me, alleluia.

Cantate Domino, alleluia; cantate Domino, et benedicite nomen ejus: bene nuntiate de die in diem salutare ejus, alleluia, alleluia.
— Missale Romanum (1962); cf. Ps. 95:2

Ant. Sing to the Lord, alleluia; sing to the Lord, and bless His name: show forth His salvation day after day, alleluia, alleluia.
