For my second post, since it is now the Paschal season (or Easter season), I wanted to post the Mass propers (excluding the Gradual and the Alleluia) for Mass during the day on Paschal Sunday. This post contains the Latin propers - which can be used in both the Extraordinary and Ordinary Forms of the Roman Liturgy. I hope to make another post either today or tomorrow with English chants that can be substituted in the Ordinary Form. All of these chants were taken from the old Liber Usualis.
Ant. I arose, and am still with you! Alleluia! You have laid your hand upon me! Alleluia! Your knowledge is made wonderful! Alleluia! Alleluia!
V. Lord, You have search Me and known Me. You know My sitting down and My rising up.
V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
V. Let Christians offer sacrificial praises to the Paschal Victim!
V. The Lamb has redeemed the sheep: the Innocent Christ has reconciled sinners to the Father!
V. Death and life contended in a spectacular battle: the Prince of Life, Who died, reigns alive!
V. Tell us, Mary, what did you see on the road?
V. "I saw the tomb of the living Christ and the glory of His rising!
V. "The angelic witnesses, the clothes, and the shroud!
V. "Christ, my hope is arisen; He will go before His own into Galilee!"
V. We know Christ is truly risen from the death! Have mercy on us, victorious King! Amen. Alleluia!
Ant. The earth trembled and was still when God arose in judgment! Alleluia!
Ant. Christ, our Passover is sacrificed! Alleluia! Therefore, let us feast with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
